Then compare your hair to the style you’ve picked. You may not have enough hair for some up-dos, but that is no problemo! If you want a fuller, thicker looking up-do, consider clip-in hair extensions. Prepare by bringing the extensions with you to your appointment, or by letting the stylist know ahead of time, so he can have the extensions ready.

This may be the one time you get ready for a party by NOT washing your hair–unwashed hair makes for a much better up-do. Unwashed hair is easier to work with and will hold a curl much longer. An added bonus: it gives you more shine. So think ahead, and don’t wash your hair for a day or two before your appointment.

If this is a once-in-a-lifetime occasion, like a wedding, we recommend that you get a trial up-do a few weeks before your event. This will assure you that both you and your stylist have the same vision for your style, and have all the moving parts ready–like extensions, nets, flowers, lace, and beads.
